The Fool Monty
In this episode, a new disease comes to Springfield and there are only a limited number of vaccinations. Mr. Burns takes a large number of vaccinations and destroys the rest when driving away. This causes the entire community to despise Mr. Burns even more. He then finds out that he only has a few more weeks to live, and decides to invite all the people of Springfield to an event to announce that he will be dying soon. This is where Mr. Burns finds out that everyone in the town hates him, and he is curious as to why this is the case? Mr. Burns then attempts to commit suicide, but does not succeed. After the fall, Mr. Burns seem to forget everything and go back to a childish mindset. Bart takes Mr. Burns home and starts to take care of him.The entire town was thinking about treating Mr. Burns as he treated them, but instead they decide to have each town member watch over him for an hour. During Lisa's turn, she shows Mr. Burns his mansion, and when seeing a picture of how he used to be, Mr. Burns snaps back to the way he used to be.
A Midsummer's Nice Dream (Episode 16)
The episode begins with an announcement that Cheech and Chong were making a reunion tour to Springfield. Homer is shocked that Bart and Lisa do not know who they are, so they all go to the comedy show. When Cheech and Chong try to do the comedy skits, Chong refuses to fall back onto his old catch phrases because he feels that it is too boring. When Chong leaves, Homer fills in and does all of the lines, so Cheech asks him to be the "new Chong." On the other hand, Chong holds auditions for a new Cheech to go on tour with. While Homer is away, Marge and Lisa clean out an old lady's home of all her useless junk. After that, Marge begins to collect all of that useless stuff and becomes more like that old lady. As Marge becomes crazier and crazier, Homer must save her by getting her away from the house. Homer also brings Chong back to Cheech, and in the end Cheech and Chong are reunited and continue doing there comedy skits.
The Scorpion's Tale (Episode 15)
Bart and Lisa's class took a field trip a park in the desert. Lisa took a walk into the desert when she was attacked by two Scorpions, but found out that a certain flower calmed them down. Her plan was to take them back a research why that occurred. Grandpa is also kicked out of the nursing home and is forced to live back at the Simpson home, but is causing problems. Homer sees what Lisa is doing and comes up with the idea of using the flower on Grandpa. The next morning, Grandpa drinks the coffee and is in a much friendlier mood. This untested drug that makes Grandpa happy concerns Lisa because she doesn't think it is safe, so she flushes the drug into the ocean. A German scientist figures how to recreate the drug and begins to sell it to the public.Bart has a prototype of the drug and begins selling it to everyone, so the people of Springfield are all much happier. The side effect of eyes falling out begins to happen, so the medical company wants to destroy the drug. The episode ends with Grandpa and everyone from his generation working together to fix the problems that the younger generation caused.
Angry Dad: The Movie (Episode 14)
In this episode of the Simpsons, a man shows up to the Simpson home asking for Bart. He introduces himself as the creator of the "world's most comfortable chair." Mr. Millwood wants to turn Bart's old cartoon, Angry Dad, into a movie. The first screening of the movie did not go well at all, but Lisa came up with the idea to make them into short films. Bart's animated short wins many different awards, but Homer takes all of the credit for it. When Bart finally gets to take the credit, he realizes that there are many people to thank and that the credit cannot be given to just one person. The lesson behind this episode is that people need to work together to make great things happen. It is not about "I," but instead its about working together and not trying to take credit for everything on your own.
